What it does show is:Jesus rose on the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; John 20:1). ﻿﻿Early Christians gathered on the first day for fellowship and breaking bread (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2). ﻿﻿These gatherings were commemorations of the resurrection, not replacements for the Sabbath.There is no verse where God:transfers the Sabbath to Sunday,blesses or sanctifies Sunday, orcalls Sunday “the Lord’s Sabbath.”📜 How the New Testament Reframes the Sabbath QuestionThe New Testament shifts the focus from legalistic observance to the meaning behind the Sabbath:Jesus says, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:27) ﻿﻿Paul warns believers not to let others judge them regarding Sabbaths (Colossians 2:16). ﻿﻿Hebrews 4 teaches that the true rest God desires is spiritual rest in Christ, though it also acknowledges that “a Sabbath rest remains for the people of God.”This means the Sabbath command is not abolished, but its ultimate meaning is fulfilled in Christ.🧭 So Can We Declare Sunday as “the Seventh Day”?Biblically, no.
